Therapy for Panic Attacks in Manhattan & Across NYC

Feel more in control of your mind & body. Start feeling like yourself again.

Being told “it’s just a panic attack” doesn’t change the fact that it feels like you might die whenever one comes on.

Maybe you went to the ER the first time it happened, convinced it was a heart attack, only to be dismissed and left feeling embarrassed and confused. Now it feels like the life you’ve worked so hard to build is being hijacked by panic, or the fear that you might panic. You’re hesitant to tell anyone you’re struggling, because it seems like everyone else is handling things just fine—and you’re the only one who can’t keep it together.

MAYBE YOU…

  • Have a high-pressure job that looks great on paper but leaves you feeling anxious, exhausted, and like there's never room to breathe—let alone make a mistake.

  • Push yourself to be perfect and do it all, but lately it feels like the pressure is catching up with you, and you're not sure how much longer you can keep it up.

  • Have started avoiding things you used to handle with ease—like traveling, social plans, or work meetings—because you’re scared of having another panic attack.

  • Feel like your world is getting smaller, and even though you’re trying to stay in control, it’s starting to feel like panic is calling the shots.

  • Are constantly checking in with your body—heart racing, chest tight, dizzy—and wondering, is this normal, or is something really wrong?

  • Don’t feel like yourself anymore, and don’t know what happened to the confident, ambitious person you once were.

You’re not broken, you’re just dealing with some seriously outdated protective programming.

Together, we’ll start to reprogram the patterns that send you into a spiral—so you can stay calm and focused when it matters most.

MY APPROACH

Collaborating on a personalized plan for relief.

The first step in our work together is getting a clear picture of what panic looks like for you. We’ll talk through when and where your panic attacks show up, what the early signs feel like in your body, and what you’ve already tried to manage them. From there, we’ll come up with a plan that’s built specifically around your life—something that actually feels doable and starts to bring some real relief.

As we go, you’ll learn how to handle the physical symptoms of panic so they don’t automatically spiral into a full-blown attack. We’ll use a mix of CBT and ACT—working on the thoughts that are feeding the panic, and helping you face discomfort without feeling like you have to run from it. The goal is to help you stop fearing the next attack, get back into the places you’ve been avoiding, and continue chasing the goals you have in your career.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • It can feel like your body is going haywire—racing heart, short breath, dizzy, shaky, like something’s seriously wrong. You might feel like you’re losing control, or even like you’re having a heart attack or dying. It’s terrifying in the moment, especially if you don’t know what’s happening or why. I can help you understand what panic attacks are, what fuels them, and how to regain a sense of control when they show up.

  • Panic attacks often come out of nowhere, and can be tied to stress, pressure, or a buildup of anxiety that finally boils over. For a lot of people I work with, it’s the result of trying to push through nonstop—never slowing down, never really checking in with how they’re feeling. Panic is your body’s way of saying, “This is too much.” However, for others, panic attacks can occur unexpectedly without a clear reason. We’ll work together to figure out what’s triggering it for you and how to stop it from taking over.

  • Panic attacks can be managed, and often, once you understand what’s causing them and how to respond differently, they lose a lot of their power. I can’t promise you’ll never have one again, but I can help you feel way more confident in handling them—and prevent them from controlling your life. You’ll learn how to recognize the early signs, change your patterns, and start feeling like yourself again.
